Have you ever moved your couch or some other piece of furniture and noticed your carpeting that was once one shade of gray is now two different shades? Or perhaps you’ve had to close your blinds or curtains to avoid that annoying sun glare on the TV? Well if either scenario sounds familiar, window film can help resolve these issues.

Professionally installed window film can block up to 99% of UV rays and reduce the fading of your home’s interior and upholstery. Ultraviolet light and the sun’s visible light are the main causes of interior fading (65%), followed by the heat from the sun (25%). Window film can also reject heat rays up to 92%, cutting cooling costs by as much as 30%. This infographic shows how professionally installed window film can make a beneficial difference to your home’s interior.

This is some great information, and I appreciate your point that window film can block UV rays and protect your home’s interior. My husband and I just finished remodeling our living room, and I’d like the new carpet and walls to stay in good condition for as long as possible. There’s a large window in there that lets in a lot of light, so I’ll definitely look into having window film put on that to reduce fading. Thanks for the great post!

It’s really helpful to know that when it comes to getting house windows tinted that there are benefits that can come from it. I like how you mentioned that one of the benefits of this that it will block about 99% of UV rays, and will keep our interior things from fading. This is something that will be really great for us so that we will be to keep things looking nice for a long time.

I recently bought a new house in Arizona. I have never lived in Arizona before but I could quickly see how the sun could become a real factor for energy savings and interior. Thanks for sharing this article!
